This is an absolutely great kit, it sounds WAY better than the TD-17 i got before and provides ample space for custom kits. It is limited by its expansion-capabilities but you can go far before really needing to upgrade. If you really need the faders - which are REALLY nice though - and full support of three digital devices consider the V51. The V31 is way cheaper though, provides all the new pads and especially the slightly bigger MDS-2 rack: I run an Iron Cobra 900 double-pedal and hi-hat, the old smaller MDS compact from my TD-17 KV had problems fitting the computer in there without third-party clamps and rods.
