100% Birch Shell Construction

Six-ply 100% birch shells produce the quick attack, short decay, and tight sound with good separation that have defined Stage Custom kits since 1995. The six-ply structure conveys vibrations accurately from the impact surface, achieving a level of performance that stands out in its class.

Classic White Hand Lacquered Finish

The Classic White finish is applied by hand to achieve the consistent quality found on higher-tier drum kits. Each shell carries subtle natural wood grain variation beneath the lacquer surface, giving the kit a refined, professional appearance on any stage.

Y.E.S.S. Tom Mounting

The Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System mounts each tom at its nodal point, minimising hardware contact with the shell and allowing the drum to resonate without restriction. Nylon bushing rod clamps ensure stability, while the system's design allows toms to be positioned close together and heads changed without removing the mount.

Absolute Lugs

Absolute Lugs are fitted with an internal lug nut hold plate that locks the tension bolt in place, preventing tuning from drifting during performance. The mechanism allows for reliable tuning across all shells, even under heavy, consistent playing.

Ball Mount and Clamp

The original Yamaha ball mount and clamp holds toms at any chosen angle using a large ultra-hard resin ball locked by a titanium ergonomic wing bolt. This system also allows drummers to tune the bottom head by simply rotating the drum while it remains mounted.

Hardware Details

Die-cast claw hooks with rubber insertion plates reduce hoop-related noise on the bass drum. Stopper-equipped bass drum legs ensure the kit stays firmly in place throughout the performance.
