Spectral Dynamic Stereo Width Maximizer

SideMinder Max is the latest and most advanced version of the SideMinder series from Raising Jake Studios. In the same way that a limiter controls amplitude overs, SideMinder plug-ins prevent width overs where mono compatibility becomes reduced. This is not mid/side compression: SideMinder works on the relative ratios of the mid and side signals while leaving the amplitude of the stereo signal relatively untouched.

How SideMinder Max Works

SideMinder Max divides the audio into thousands of frequency bands and applies the SideMinder width maximization process to each band. All band separation filters are linear phase, preserving the source audio transients for clean processing. Four Width Contour controls shape the stereo width across the spectrum, while a single Master Width control adjusts the overall effect.

Where to Use It

SideMinder Max can be used on individual tracks and instruments, stereo group buses and stereo master buses, for mixing, mastering and video audio post-production. It offers the greatest amount of width maximizing in the series, with a somewhat higher CPU load than the other SideMinder versions.
