Boss BP-1W Booster Preamp — Three Analog Voices in One Waza Craft Pedal

Boss BP-1W Booster Preamp condenses three analog voices into a single Waza Craft stompbox. Players switch between the bright bell-like preamp of the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, the fat warm coloration of the Roland RE-201 Space Echo, and a transparent NAT mode. This unit is the right choice for guitarists who want one pedal covering volume boost, vintage-voiced preamp coloration, and amp-pushing saturation. Made in Japan, it carries the Waza symbol.

Waza Craft Recreation of Vintage BOSS and Roland Preamps

What sets this unit apart is its recreation of two analog preamp circuits from discontinued BOSS and Roland classics. Rear-panel switch toggles between Standard and Vintage input buffers — Vintage mode lowers input impedance to 100 kΩ.

Three Operation Modes — CE, RE, and NAT

MODE switch selects between three analog voices. Gain knob controls saturation, Level knob sets output volume.

\n
• CE Mode: Bright bell-like preamp from BOSS CE-1 — tight low-end, chimey upper frequencies
\n
• RE Mode: Fat warm preamp from Roland RE-201 Space Echo — adds richness and analog compression
\n
• The NAT mode provides a transparent clean boost that delivers a punchy, natural voice with minimal coloration.

Switchable Input Buffer and Buffered Bypass

Rear-panel BUFFER switch offers two input impedance options. Standard buffer remains engaged when bypassed.

\n
• Standard Buffer (STD): 1 MΩ input impedance — modern signal conditioning
\n
• Vintage Buffer (VTG): 100 kΩ input impedance — warmer tone with passive-pickup guitars
\n
• Bypass: Buffered bypass — standard buffer stays active when off
